In August 2009 the B moved down the garden to hide under its car cover beside the relocated greenhouse.

A new garage was already being built when this picture was taken.








At last, over three years after being trailered back to Farnborough and.....












....almost six years since car was last on the road, the B is properly under cover in the new garage.












There is a lot to do!

Work should start later this summer.

Come back again in June/July to check!

May 2009

Over two years have passed since the car arrived on its current spot. It is now bone dry and covered all the time, and the first work starts to rebuild the petrol pump which is not 'clicking' when it should.









This is the offending beast which was soon rebuilt and back in place.

I retired a few months ago, and supposedl;y have more time on my hands! Now with some decent May weather, work has finally started.

There is a family reunion planned for June and a big building project coming up in September so not much more is going to get done for a while, but a large garage is planned.

January 2007

This story starts a while ago. Son-in-law, James, says he is giving his MGB, not used for a while, to a local car club, but then he agrees to let me rescue it for him.










In the pouring rain late on a January afternoon in 2007 the B is loaded onto a car transporter for the journey south.











Journey complete and the B is back in Farnborough where it spent much of its earlier life.











The concrete hardstanding between the green house and garage is where it will spend a long time before it gets any serious attention, but at least it is safe!!










The poor old thing has been very wet for a very long time, so a drying out and then a car cover are planned.
